In 1986, Saint Mina Coptic Orthodox Church opened it’s doors. The church was established to serve Copts who have moved East from Los Angeles, California.

In 1990, the late Hegomen, Father Daniel Farag was ordained. Prior to him, Father Abrahim Aziz Gindi served the church. Through Father Daniel’s care and direction, the congregation of the church purchased an allotment of land around the hills of Grand Terrace. They were able to build a beautiful church in the modern Coptic style shape of Noah’s Ark. It was painted inside by the late Dr.  Isaac Fanous.

In 2003, after the late Hegomen Father Daniel’s departure came Father Macarius Shehata who is now serving the church. He was joined by Father Lazarus Yassa in November 2008 until July 2014 (who now serves at St. George Church in Bellflower, CA). Now, you’ll find Father Bishoy Ray serving beside Father Macarius in St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church located in Riverside, California.
